Like it says can't update my vegas to a current build at all it always downloads 157 no matter what I try. I'm suppose to get a year of updates but can't get any help with this. I read a post from another vegas user but other than that can't find any new workarounds of info. Windows 7 ultimate 64

Which Vegas Movie Studio Platinum version are you referring to?

If it's 15 then Build 157 is the latest and last build for VMSPlat15.

As EricLNZ says. And if you use the download options mentioned in points 2 , 3, or 4 here, you'll get the latest update/build of a version.

I think VMS PL 15 wil not get an update anymore, because there already is a newer version VMS 16, that came out 50 weeks (almost a year) after the release of the version 15 you could update to the latest build.
Because 16 is a new release you cannot update to it, but to get the newer version you have to upgrade to that version.

To clarify more, you can still update your early build of a version to the last one even if it is older than one year, e.g. using options mentioned in points 3 and 4. As j-v says it's unlikely that updating an older version will be a regular practice.
