I just purchased the $100 Vegas Post upgrade special to upgrade my version of Vegas Pro 19. It looks like the two bundled products, Vegas Effects and Vegas Image, will only run in demo mode, even if I open Effects from within Vegas Pro, per instructions. Is there any way to get these two products activated?
Based on a similar question on the forum a while ago, I recall that the suggestion given at the time was to make sure that you are using the new serial number for Vegas POST, not the older serial number which isn't licensed for Effects and Image.
Many thanks for your help on this. When I first had installed the POST download, I may have accidentally registered it with my existing VEGAS serial number. It had occurred to me that the problem could be related to the existing serial number instead of the new one, but where I am stuck is that I can't find any way to re-register VEGAS with the POST serial number. I am sure the solution is right there, looking me in the face but....
In Vegas Pro 19, go to the Help menu and click on the "Deactivate the Software on this PC ..." and then after starting Vegas Pro again, it will require the activation process where you can code in your new POST serial number.
Dexon, that was it. Earlier I had seen that option, but the "Deactivate" word sounded way too dangerous for me to consider giving it a shot! Seriously, the new serial number is now in place, the POST app is activated and all is well. Thanks again for helping me out and "Case Officially Closed!"

Btw, you're right about the "Deactivate" being a bit dangerous. You need to know about the basic difference of the two deactivating options. See this FAQ point 9.
I did the hole thing, deactivate-reactivate with the new VegasPost number but it is still impossible to install Vegas Effects and the name of mij Vegas stays on Vegas Pro built 643.
