They get the humble bundle that contains vegaspro14 EDIT version. They then take the $200 upgrade path to Vegas 15 pro (not edit) . Does that work?

Would only cost you $20 extra and you'd get what you want, but I don't know what the situation is with upgrading from EDIT version to standard pro.

I guess that comes under "As the owner of a previous software version, you can upgrade to the latest version at a special discounted price. To upgrade, you will require the serial number for your current version." I also guess that there are humble bundlers testing it as we write.

If it is, it states just under About This Bundle that the bundle comprises Vegas Pro 15 Edit plus DVD Architect. The other VP15 offering from Steam is named Vegas Pro 15 Edit Steam Edition, the main difference being that it does not include DVD Architect. Not the best title for what you may have purchased, but the details of what's in the bundle appear to be clear.

The product is named "VEGAS Pro 15 Steam Edition" and has a blue "Vegas Pro 15" poster on Steam. The description is not clear enough. Technically, Vegas Pro 15 Edit equals Vegas Pro 15 minus DVD Architect and those video FX. It clearly said about DVD Architect in description, but nothing about if plugins where there or not. And considering the name "Vegas Pro 15" and the blue poster (which distinguishes it from yellow Edit poster) it leads to perception that you are buying a full Vegas Pro 15, just on Steam.

That is a problem, there is no such a detailed description / product comparison of Vegas Pro 15 Steam vs regular Vegas Pro 15. Obviously, one has to go to the Vegas official site to see all the details about the software before buying (as the Steam description is pretty short, generic and lacking specs), but as Steam version is absent on the official site one may assume that it's the same, as non-Steam (as well as some of the statements on this forum claiming that Steam Vegas Pro is identical to the regular one).

Price wise it doesn't necessarily imply that a discounted product must have a limited functionality. There are many discounted products around there (both software and hardware) which come on sale with full features.

Let's say, when you buy a game on Steam, or any other software (which is getting more and more presence on that platform), by default it means that you get the product with the same functionality as non-Steam one. Otherwise it should be clearly stated if the product has limitations compared to non-Steam, in order avoid any misrepresentation and confusion. The customer shouldn't be left guessing trying to figure out what exactly he or she is buying.

I already wrote about that in the previous posts. And what is "their offer" in bold? Does that mean that Magix is not responsible for their products on Steam?
