Vegas Pro 16 unworkable!!

Joel-LIckliter wrote on 6/22/2019, 11:40 AM

I upgraded from vegas pro 13 to pro 16 and now I can't even watch the projects I've been working on. I even dropped the quality to draft quarter and its virtually unworkable. I have an Acer aspire V-Nitro laptop with an i7 intel core with a nvidia GeForce GTX 960m and a 256 SSD. I'm very frustrated and I'm about to resort to a refund if this issue can't be resolved.

No problem with that program here on laptop from signature.
I am able to edit older projects of VPro 8-15 and now I also can edit heavy more than 2 hours projects with 4K 50p Gopro 7 (HEVC)files.

I'm glad it works for you, if I had more info I would have provided it. When you spend that kind of money you should be able to work it. Bottom line is the program is SLOW and glitchy. If you don't have a constructive solution don't comment on the post.

@Joel-LIckliter please provide more info as asked. Note also Community rules, e.g. sections 1 and 2. Thank you.

1. This program has a free demo you could have downloaded to test it out on your system before buying.

2. Being that your issue doesn't appear to be widespread, could very well be down to an issue with your system configuration, such as a driver conflict. If you ask for help instead of throwing demands around, you might find you get the problem solved quickly. There are a lot of helpful members of this community that specialize in solving Vegas bugs, chances are one has seen your issue before and knows a fix/workaround.

3. The performance issue could be due to incorrect project settings, such as using 32 bit when not necessary (like on 8 bit video), resampling, incorrect interlacing or frame size/rate settings, etc.. there are many factors that can affect performance. Give us the details we ask, and we can likely help you.

@fr0sty Totally agree. People here are very helpful and willing to help, lots of expertise. But they need more specific info to figure out where the problem might be. Everyone is here because they like helping fellow users out.
