VEGAS Pro 18 Edit Edition Error: Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)

I recently purchased the VEGAS Pro 18 Edit Steam Edition. When I try to run it I get the following error: "Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)" and it stays at "Creating file I / O manager ...". To solve the problem I uninstalled and installed the software several times and once I went into the installation folder of the software and deleted all the files to reinstall it. None of these options worked so I wanted to know if you could help me solve this problem.

This Support article probably does not help here, so you may need to try and Ask Support.

And try to install it on your C drive where Windows also has to be installed.

Me not, never saw that build 313 of the program.
The last build as official release is build 284.

nothing, I contacted Vegas support and wait until they tell me how to fix it.  I recommend you do that.

I am having the EXACT same issue. It says "Creating I/O Manager" Then never opens. I have tried everything. The Magix support has been emailing me, but NO answers yet..

Currently stuck at the same spot, just bought the thing today and no working, tried all sorts of uninstall, clean up, reinstall. I got the download version of vegas 365 from the vegas website.

I had the same problem and managed to fix it by renaming some drivers, as described here:
