Thank you for the information.

As a starter, the minimum recommended specifications for Vegas Pro 18 are the same as for the current release, Vegas Pro 19 - https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/specifications/#productMenu

Even for HD, unfortunately your computer falls far short of those recommended minimums - your CPU is about 9 years old and is 3 generations prior to the recommended minimum (6th gen) for Vegas Pro 18 for HD projects. And the GPU (launched nearly 10 years ago) won't be adding any assistance in rendering should use of GPU be available with the render template selected.

GPU acceleration is ON and I cant change it, because when I run again the program after save, all settings are reset to factory settings.

Probably because Vegas Pro can't find a compliant GPU.

Sadly, another problem - your media source - a phone camera - like so many other phone cameras like Apple and Samsung, records with a variable frame rate (VFR) - and the MediaInfo shows the frame rate variation being as low as 23 fps and as high as 43 fps). Vegas Pro has not always been all that friendly to VFR so that may be causing a big problem as well. Over the years, the recommendation has been to transcode VFR media to Constant Frame Rate via a utility such as the free Handbrake app - https://handbrake.fr/ . There are other transcoders as well if you Google search the internet.

Maybe time to think about upgrading to a new modern computer (even a second hand computer) if you want to use the current generation of programs like Vegas Pro. The reality is that minimum computer specifications progressively increase as the years go by.

In general, what Dexcon said to get the most out of Vegas 18.

Still, if you want to see how your computer fares against others you can try this render benchmark here. I'd expect your system to be near the bottom of the list.

I tried all kinds of video types, including those converted in handbrake, 480p 25 fps, All the time rendering is so slow. I don't believe technology has gone so far that my equipment can't even handle the 480p. One minute of rendering takes an hour!

And why can't i save any settings in options? After the required restart of the program, all settings are reset to factory settings?????

And pls tell me why program doesn't use my computer to its full potential? Here screen of task manager when rendering: Cpu 50% RAM 50% Gpu 2 %????

Already answered:

Please revisit the recommended minimum specifications for Vegas Pro 18/19 (repeat: 18 is the same as 19):

6th Generation Intel Core i5 (or AMD equivalent) or better with 2.5 Ghz and 4 Cores

GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce RTX or GTX 9XX series or higher with 4GB

... and provide a salient explanation as to how your computer's specifications, no matter how thrilled and optimistic that you are with them, meet the above specifications for Vegas Pro 18.

If you wish to stick with your current computer, it would be best to stick with programs from your computer's era as well as later programs that support your computer's CPU and GPU.

And have you tested the benchmark as recommended by @RogerS ? If yes, how did it go?

So pls tell what version of vegas you recomend for my equipment?

From the 2012/13 era, the then current Vegas Pro versions were Sony Vegas Pro 12 and Sony Vegas Pro 13. Vegas Pro was then sold to MAGIX and the next version was from MAGIX: Vegas Pro 14. It's really difficult to find minimum specs for past versions of Vegas Pro because they weren't often if ever listed in online reviews at the time - or even now.

Unfortunately, the chances of buying a legal version (i.e. not a pirated/cracked version) of any of those earlier versions of Vegas Pro is likely to be problematic - unless you can find a genuine seller on an online app like eBay who has a genuine version of a legacy version of Vegas Pro and will follow through with changing the ownership of that app to you with MAGIX.

Unfortunately again, you'll still have the problem with VFR phone camera footage and if even that modern day phone video will be compatible/usable with Sony Vegas Pro 12/13 - I just don't t know.

BTW, when you transcoded your VFR video via Handbrake, did you specifically change the settings to CFR (Constant Frame Rate)?

For the options not saving, did you search the forum for that? Are you on the final build of 18? I've mainly seen that an issue with pirated versions of Vegas.

For what the best version of Vegas is for your hardware- in general Vegas cuts support after 5 or 6 years. I'd suggest Vegas Pro 14 if you can find it.

Yeah, I tried 14 version and works much better. Rendering on average 20-30 fps per second. Its mutch better than 1. Thx man.

Of course, my pleasure. If you manage to upgrade the hardware at some point come join us with VP 19 as it takes advantage of what new hardware can do.
