Alright, let me try to be as clear about my issue as I possibly can.

So, about 5 months ago, my main HDD failed on me. Unfortunately, it was the drive that I had many of my files and programs saved on; one of which was Vegas Pro Edit 14 that I purchased on Steam. Well, after that drive failed, I bought a new drive, and reinstalled all my programs. Everything else boots fine on Steam, however, Vegas Pro is the only program that I have redownloaded that fails to boot up. It always throws the error,

The system cannot find the file specified

that file being

G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Vegas Pro 14.0\Vegas Pro 14.0\vegas140.exe

which is true, because the file doesn't exist there.

So I have, on multiple occasions, tried verifying the integrity of the software files, and yet it still cannot find any issues, and nothing is fixed afterward. I have uninstalled the program multiple times and reinstalled it, yet every time that I've done that it throws a different error reading,

Vegas Pro 14.0 - Steam Powered is already installed. If you want to reinstall the application, please uninstall the existing version before reinstalling

I would uninstall that application, however, this ghost version of Vegas Pro 14.0 that is supposedly already installed on my computer, just is not installed on my computer. After that message goes away, I continue to get the other error stating the system cannot find the file at

G:\SteamLibrary...\vegas140.exe

endlessly while never being able to boot up the program.

I have been using Adobe Premiere supplied by my University in the meantime, but I prefer Vegas Pro, so please someone help me solve this issue. I don't know what else to do.
