Change the display scaling on your computer to a lower level. The interface for VEGAS was designed for 1920x1080 at 100% scaling. If you describe the resolution or increase the scaling beyond that, you may run into problems with parts of the interface being clipped.

The resolution is already 4K, why is it just for a dialog box to force the use of a lower resolution?

The first method is to temporarily solve the problem, and the second is to reduce the resolution is not the right direction. Instead, VEGAS should adapt to the higher resolution.

VEGAS does adjust to resolution and follows the scaling that your desktop is set to. Based on the image you provided, if you have a 4k monitor, your scaling must have been around 350% or more when observing the desktop icons in the background.
