Vegas Studio Plat 11 or Movie Studio 13 Platinum?

I recently downloaded and installed Movie Studio 13 Platinum and to my surprise, although similar, the UI is different than what I have been using, Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 and older. The Movie Studio 13 UI is "Kid-like" with big goofy buttons that look like social media icons. I went ahead and created a video using 3 video tracks and 1 audio that is approximately 4:30 long, which took about 10 minutes to render, after I installed the CUDA toolkit. I also configured the rendering to use my GPU. Compared to 11, it didn't seem like a huge gain in improvement in rendering.

Has anyone else used these two versions, and if so, do you have a preference? I'm really considering to re-install HD Platinum 11, and then adding the various add-ons to it instead of Movie Studio 13. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

You don't have to install VMSP 11 instead of MSP 13. They are separate installations and can coexist on the same computer. Remember that v 11 is a 32-bit only application, whereas you can have v 13 as both 32-bit and 64-bit. All the v 13 add-ons will not work in v 11 and vice versa.
We all have personal preferences, but mostly the discussion here has been between vs. 12 and 13. The 64-bit support, which both of those versions have, matters to many of us.
A good overview of MSP 13, which might give you some perspective on the new features of v 13, is here.
