Very Disappointed After Upgrade :( Please Help

Good Day Peeps!!

So I have finally upgraded to the latest version (VEG 21) in membership mode after many years of using perpetual, and I have 2 Issues that are itching my brain a lot.

1st Major Issue: I have 2 machines, The first one is for actively working/editing & the second one does things like creating proxies, rendering projects, converting to different formats, basically works as a render farm. But after the update it does not allow me to add the serial to that second machines which pisses me off way too much because for processes that take more than 12+ hours of rendering it means my Main Computer is absolutely useless for anything during those hours.

2nd Issue: Just tried using 2 of the "AI" features (for instance Speech to Text) and they simply did not work because of some sort of Microsoft EDGE error (see more info on the post before this one) which is completely disappointing because that is what I upgraded for :S (ALREADY FIXED THIS ONE)

If any of you know a solution for both of these issues please let me know, if there is no solution then it feels like the biggest waste of money ever and will try to get a refund.

Thank you for your help :D

Kind Regard & Happy Holidays!!

1. From the main FAQs post item 9. "How many computers can I use VEGAS Pro on?
You can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later, perpetual and SmartScription licenses) simultaneously on 2 devices. VEGAS Pro 365 can be used on 1 device at a time.

(To deactivate a device, so you can activate a different one, visit your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate. This option can be used only once a month.

In VEGAS Pro 14.0 or later, you can also choose Deactivate the Software on this PC from the Help menu This option can be used as often as you wish. An internet connection is required.)"

2. Please continue in your separate thread about the issue here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/help-with-speech-to-text-bug--143713/

3. If you decide to cancel your 365 subscription, please see that option in your MAGIX account > My contracts.

@Narax

That is not the point, the point is say for example I bought the perpetual license, then I would lose the feature that would save an immense amount of time editing which is Speech to Text, this is so scuffed how is that not available in the perpetual one!!

The reasons for those extra features being only in subscriptions have been explained previously on the forum. Please see e.g. here https://www. and vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-365-subscription--142014/#ca887862 and https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-hub-is-showing-restricted-access-what-that-mean--142043/#ca888133

Well do you suggest a logical solution? as opposed to linking to a comment that says "Premiere" also uses a subscription model. The only difference is in Premiere you can open in 2 computers to do something like what my case scenario is. I love Vegas but it absolutely makes no sense that the maximum amount of machines is 1 in the subscription model it should be 2 like the perpetual version is, that makes way more sense for anyone who does not have the time or money to waste on a single computer which can take up to a day to render 4k footage and also wants to use something like Speech to Text. If you have the money, there is a solution already mentioned in a quote in my first comment:

"You can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later, perpetual and SmartScription licenses) simultaneously on 2 devices."

If you want all the features of Vegas Pro 21 365 on two separate machines, you will need two subscriptions. The only way to be able to use Vegas 365 on two different machines, is if you have bought SmartScription which would be good for two years, with at the end of the two year subscription, you can choose not to renew your subscription, but you will have that last version of Vegas Pro as a perpetual, but no longer access to the 365 (Speech to Text, etc..).

If you think SmartScription is something you would like to purchase, but already have 365 subscription (yes, it can get confusing), I'd contact CUSTOMER SUPPORT.
