Video Event Issues

Hi. My son has Vegas Pro 20 and has just recently did the latest update. He is having an issue so I wanted to try and explain it here. He has Autism and it's very difficult for him to explain it. So I'm going to try. Under the Plug-In Chooser - Video Event FX, there is a huge list of different plug-ins (Broadcast Colors, Bump Map, Chroma Keyer, etc.). There are several, one being Gradient Map, that when he opens it up to use it, it doesn't completely open up to it's full size. It is being cut off and there seems to be no way to make it fit properly. Does this make sense? Can this be fixed? He went through every single one on both the Video and Audio and found several on the Video side. All of the Audio side opened up to it's full size. He is getting so frustrated because he enjoys making videos. Any help would be greatly appreciated from a frazzled Mom. Thanks!

If the Video Event FX window is not docked (i.e. it's floating), a double-click on its title bar will optimize its size. But you should also be able to drag the edges of that window to resize it.

If the Video Event FX window is docked then you can drag the partitions between the docked windows to resize them.

It's likely I haven't understood the exact issue. A screen shot would help.

Gradient Map is an old DirectX plugin that can be cut off depending on your other windows settings. First, I would try the various "high dpi" settings on the Options - Preferences - Display tab to see if that makes a difference. Then you can also look at the Windows settings - for example, what is the %size set to? What if that's dropped down to 100%? Then I've seen some posts here indicating adding a specific font has helped (I don't remember the font).

@Conor-Ackermann please try and see if any of the linked threads in my comment here might help.

Can you specify what you tried that didn't work? Just seeing the screenshots won't lead to a solution.

You tried the various things vkmast linked to? https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/credit-roll-window-not-displaying-in-full--138828/#ca867457

we tried stretching the window as seen above. Tried double clicking the title bar and downloading SansSerif font

And this???

Plus, once the font is installed, make sure you have exited and restarted VEGAS so it can see that the new font has been installed. Might not even hurt to reboot after installing the font!

tried it all. No luck. My son says that this issue started after the last Vegas pro update. The laptop has Windows 11

Specs of laptop? In particular, graphics drivers or chipsets create many miracles that cannot be explained in any other way.

Thanks frmax, if you have hardware suggestions could you please email me at jayou30@skiff.com. He already blames the laptop and or Windows 11 but he has made some impressive videos for a kid with no mentor.

Can you try downloading a recent AMD Radeon graphics driver and see if it helps?

Difficult thing; AMD 5700u features a Radeon RX Vega 8 as integrated graphics device: I really don´t know if you can update it with native drivers from the AMD website, because it is working in a Lenovo-laptop, maybe specific Lenovo drivers apply.....

If Lenovo doesn't have new drivers try the AMD driver. I use reference drivers for my mobile GPUs.
