Video preview disappeared on platinum 15

This seems to be the same problem every year.

First there is the advertisement that the latest version (in this case version 16) just before the programme gets buggy. It pops up every time I boot the programme, even after asking it nicely not to show up again.

Then the video preview window didn't show up, so I had to press Alt+4. Then Alt+4 (and Alt+3) stopped working. Then the programme crashes with the frame rate problem (something I have had trouble with in the pass with an old computer). And now I can not access the video previewer with buttons OR through the window.

I was looking for an update higher than build157 and couldn't find one. Hench this slightly angry forum post.

I really want this bug fixed so I can get back to work quickly. Many thanks in advance

You can stop that by uncheck that option in your program

just before the programme gets buggy.

Has nothing to do with it.

This is no bug.
I think you have to reset the program to its original installation and try again.
Resetting goes by clicking the startpic with hold Ctrl-Shift, followed by this popup

in which you have to check "Delete all cached application data"

Ok, bug number one is gone. Thank you. But it's strange that there is a tick box that you can tick that states it will stop the advertising popup...when it doesn't😕

I'm afraid you will have to explain to me j-v what a "startpic "is... 😊

I had to reinstall the programme, as I couldn't create a shortcut. But it is done. Thank you all

That one is always in the Windows All Program Folder/Map through the Windows Start button.
