Video Track Changing Into A & B Tracks?

Still learning my way around Vegas 15, but recently I was editing a video and I'm not sure what I did, but the video tracks expanded and showed the letters A & B, as if turning the track into two. Does anyone know what this is and how to turn it off? I tried Ctrl + Z and resetting the view to default, but that didn't help. I must have triggered something but I'm not sure what.

Thanks!

I see. Does anyone actually find this that helpful of a feature, the Expanded Edit Mode? I guess I've been living under a rock and have never had a need to use it, but for some reason in 15, I accidentally turned it on and it kind of freaked me out.

Double clicking on an edit point (event edge) is how it usually snares the unsuspecting.

I don't use exp. edit mode per say, but I do often expand a track to A/B so I can better see transitions in a complex timeline.
