To me, it seems that the problem with the text shadow is solved, can somebody confirm ?

Vegas crashed when I tried it.

Nope, not solved. Vegas crashes the instant you check the box to use the shadow.

I guess we can look forward to another release?

I had a project with the shadow enabled that was working in b256. Downloaded and installed the new update and the I couldn't perform any editing on the entire project without Vegas going "Not Responding". I tried copying/pasting the offending clip (and also all the clips except the title), it still crashed. I uninstalled v293 and went back to b256. All back to normal.

What I did before: opened VMS 11 HD 293, inserted a red solid color and inserted over it the default sample text (Title & Text -> Sample Text), then enabled the shadow box.
No crash problem.

But after I read the other comments, I edited the text, changing it from "Sample Text" to something else ( I wrote "My Text" ), and then enabled the shadow again: now VMS get stuck, no crash, but stuck.

Now I wonder if ppl in Sony read this forum, as this problem was shown already time ago....
