VP17 questionnaire..

AVsupport wrote on 10/14/2018, 3:55 PM

It's refreshing to see that Magix' sends out a questionnaire to its user base to see what they want.

However, the way the questions and selectable answers are collected leave little choice to properly convey all the information in depth, and in a priority ranking, thus making the appearance of this being a token effort somewhat really IMO..

my current Win10/64 system (latest drivers, water cooled) :

Intel Coffee Lake i5 Hexacore (unlocked, but not overclocked) 4.0 GHz on Z370 chipset board,

32GB (4x8GB Corsair Dual Channel DDR4-2133) XMP-3000 RAM,

Intel 600series 512GB M.2 SSD system drive running Win10/64 home automatic driver updates,

Crucial BX500 1TB EDIT 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD

2x 4TB 7200RPM NAS HGST data drive,

Intel HD630 iGPU - currently disabled in Bios,

nVidia GTX1060 6GB, always on latest [creator] drivers. nVidia HW acceleration enabled.

main screen 4K/50p 1ms scaled @175%, second screen 1920x1080/50p 1ms.

You should have ended your post after the first sentence.

No need to find the cloud in every silver lining :)

What email address did it come from and what was the title?

EricLNZ wrote on 10/15/2018, 1:54 AM

My VMS email had the title" VEGAS Movie Studio Survey – win one of three $50 coupons".

It came from <info@letter.magix.net>

The survey link went to https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/4590422/VEGAS-Movie-Studio

I did respond to the survey so hope it was genuine.

Might have been sent only to a certain percentage of user chosen at random. As for myself, I won't use a "second-hand" link.

RogerS wrote on 10/15/2018, 3:14 AM

I got it too. If you registered with Magix you'll get one sooner or later.

NickHope wrote on 10/15/2018, 5:15 AM

Having looked at my archived emails, I've remembered that I'm one of those who never made it onto a MAGIX or VEGAS marketing email list, apart from 3 emails that arrived from news@vegas.magix.net between 1 and 2 years ago.

The old thread about this issue is at https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/why-am-i-not-receiving-emails-from-vegas-creative-software--103836/

Are there any other email addresses you guys get your VEGAS marketing emails from?

This survey was from MAGIX <info@letter.magix.net>

The survey is fairly different from previous ones. Less open-ended so probably easier for them to analyze.

vkmast wrote on 10/15/2018, 6:18 AM

The email database problems caused by the transition and mentioned in the thread Nick linked may never have been fully solved. At least there has been some inconsistency later on still. During the last year or so my emails have been from info@vegascreative.magix.net (sender VEGAS) and info@letter.magix.net (senders MAGIX and Sound Forge). Re the questionnaire, a previous poster promised I'll "get one sooner or later."

NickHope wrote on 10/15/2018, 10:13 AM

I've raised the email list issue again with those who may be able to help resolve it.

Reyfox wrote on 10/16/2018, 1:14 PM

I received the survey via email from info@letter.magix.net 2 days ago. Yeah... the $50 possible win is why I replied. It was a short survey.

Thanks. I thought that same link that AVSupport posted might have been a "personalized" link but apparently not, so I took the survey.

Here's are the questions:
