VR Studio trial...

Hello,

I'm trying out the VR Studio trial version but came across an issue when it comes to exporting the files/folders to viewing online. In the folder, I see all the files but one...an Internet Shortcut browser (VR-X Player - Magix VR-X Player). Everything is there when I play it on in the Magix VR-X Player app. Is this missing the internet shortcut browser because it's a trial version or am I missing a step somewhere? I'm trying to place the VR content folder into a Google Drive folder (server).

Thank you in advance!

T

Hi T,

Have you come to the correct forum? Is VR Studio a Magix Vegas product or even a Magix product?

It's a Vegas Creative Software product since a few months, see here. I already wondered why there has been zero announcement about it nor a place in this forum, since (I think) it is meant to be a collaborative tool close to Vegas Pro.

My trial expired so I can't check anymore how the web browser usage is meant to work. I remember it's been terribly slow on my system when using the regular VR player.

EricNZ - Good question. My thought from the start was that it's a company that Magix purchase for the tech and then integrated into the Vegas family.

Right?! There's very little coverage at all other than their (Magix) own tutorials and an introduction of the product. I've also been playing with Google Tours too...which is pretty cool but they don't offer video attachments to the 360 plate environment. Video attachment is something that I do need for the type of virtual education projects that I'm producing. Other than that, I think GT looks cleaner than VRS without the bulky buttons in the environment (if you're placing serval of them in a concentrated area). I haven't really dive into Vegas 16 yet but do you know what V16 has to offer for virtual tours?

Thanks Marco. I did check before I posted but found nothing. I still cannot. But I only get English language pages. Your link is to a German page. Perhaps VR Studio is only available in Germany?

Tried this link? https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vr-studio/

If you visit the Vegas Creative Software homepage, isn't there a VR link on the top menu (betweeen "VEGAS MOVIE STUDIO" and "ADD-ONS")?

VR software (VR Studio and VR-X Player) is listed in the English language pages as well. See the heading at (e.g.) https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/au/ . Purchase and subscription options of VR Studio available. Free trial listed in "New purchase" menu.

(As Marco. clarified already.)

Vegas Pro 16 offers a comprehensive toolset for video editing, including support for 360° video input, preview and output. 99 % of what you can do in Vegas Pro cannot be done in VR Studio (the only exceptions might be the Vegas Pro 360° stitching and stabilize). You would use Vegas Pro for the main video editing and then VR Studio for "mastering" or "finalizing" the VR project. The output of Vegas Pro would be (part of) the sources of VR Studio.

Interesting. I went to https://www.magix.com/us/ and looked in Supplementary Programs and Apps. I didn't think of looking at Vegas Pro or Vegas Movie Studio as I wrongly assumed VR Studio was something completely different.

It is different. Via adding hot spots into a main frame VR Studio links 360° video, graphic, text and background sound (and it offers 360° video stabilization).

This is a good demo about what it does (it may need a long time to load).
