This set of well-explained Vegas Pro tutorials by Andrew Davis is as good as any. Although somewhat older, the basic skills are essential learning.

There are tons of videos on YouTube that you can watch and finesse into your editing style. The YouTuber 'JustAlexHalford' is pretty good for your all round needs and 'ScrapYardFilms' for more effects style.
