What do you find most annoying about using Movie Studio ?
For me it has to be the dialogue box that appears in the centre of the screen whilst rendering takes place. Why , oh why can't I move it out of the way so that I can observe my video as it renders ?
Surely it would be a simple fix for the developers.

Have you considered this option in the Platinum version to work around the issue? Undock the window before rendering and place it where it won't be hidden by the dialogue box. (Just a suggestion in case this is not fixed.)

Thanks for your interest.
I wasn't aware that it is possible to undock the preview window. How do I do that ?

If you have VMS 17 Platinum: "To dock a window, ctrl + drag it by the title bar to the docking area or a floating dock." And "To undock a window, click the title bar and drag (down) the window tab out of the docking area or floating dock."

Thankyou vkmast. I have Platinum 17 (build 204)
At the first attempt that doesn't seem to work for me. I shall read online help files that you suggested.
Thanks again for your interest.

You need to drag down. I edited the incomplete Help advice above.

That option doesn't appear to be available in this version. I can make panes larger or smaller but not rearrange them

Do you have the Platinum or classic/plain version? I.e. plain Movie Studio or MS Platinum? In the current Movie Studio you can only make the pane smaller by dragging from the left. I thought you said Platinum. Working here for me, build 204 as in the earlier screenshot. Did you try dragging from the Title bar straight down?

That's strange. Whilst it is in the centre it doesn't block my preview window so has never bothered me. It probably depends on how you have your windows arranged.

Thankyou for your input Eric.

@vkmast
I have Platinum. I have discovered that in Power User mode I can rearrange the windows by dragging on the tab below the window , and as Eric suggested I can place my preview window in such as position that the dialogue box doesn't interfere with viewing.
Thanks to everyone for your input.
