Why no 1280 by 720 p Blu Ray setting?

Hello:

I am trying to render a HD format at 1280 by 720 for playback on a stand alone Blu Ray deck.

Studio 12 has higher HD settings for Blu Ray but no 720 p. What gives?

For now I am using a MP4 format Main Concept AVC/AAC for Internet Streaming
with a bit rate of 28,000,000 and a average of 10,000,000. My movie is 57 minutes.
The actual GB size from the render is 3.81GB so I suppose it can fit on a DVD but I still have to convert it to a .VOB with Aieesoft Media Convertor. Then I'll use Ashampoo Burning Studio14 to "Create Movie."

On playback on my PC the movie looks pretty good.

But for a deck only playback should I be using a MP2 format?

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill

I don't really have an answer for you but I posted a very similar question a couple of weeks ago. I still don't think that I have the definitive answer even now, but if you read my post and the response it may help you. Here's the link to my original question which was posted on 6th November:

Hope that link works - if not let me know (I am not sure if there's a 'correct' way to post a link to another subject).

Regards

Viddy et all:

Thanks for the comments and I have looked over the posting you had a few weeks ago. The main thing new I could try with that info is the option for the Main Concept HDV720 template.
But first my other results with the project I first mentioned.
I converted with Aieesoft Media Convertor (AMC) to a .VOB file then burned with Ashampoo 12 Movie Studio as a movie file on DVD plus media as I ran out of the DVD- media. I saw some BluRay settings with AMC but was in a time crunch and decided to go with the .VOB file for now. However this down scaled my file to SD but upon playback it looks presentable. On my 120Mghz ASUS 3-D monitor it looked just fine. It also played fine on a newer 23 inch Toshiba LCD- TV.
One thing about Ashampoo is that it automatically synchs the audio and video elements when you set the project up.
I have temporarily given up on DVD Architect but may explore that again if it can create a straight up 720p for BluRay.
I think the "extra" settings for BR 720p may be in the Vegas Pro software which I also have and will look into soon.
In conclusion I have gone through 3 main steps with my video: .MOV to MPEG4 to SD/MPEG2/.VOB then to the Authoring/Burn software.
