It would be nice to see V8. Acid Pro is unique in the way it allows the user to handle a wide variety of production duties with speed, like no other DAW.
I purchased Acid Pro when it first came out in '98. It was truly a game changer for audio. I still have version 7 but I have not used it since then. The reason? Ableton Live! Acid Pro 8 must have game changing new features for me to go back and upgrade.
Acid Pro 8 announced and you can already purchase 8 with 7. Already owning Acid Pro 7 I want to use the upgrade option, but my serial doesen't work the site says.

I have contacted support.
Please let me know how that goes, I have Acid 7 as well. But then I wonder if Acid 8 will be crippled like Vegas 15 forcing the user to go online at least once a month and send who knows what data back to Magix.
Thanks,. The trouble started with V14 which I am really peeved about as there were assurances from Magix in these forums hat nothing like that would happen. I got V14 because V13 pan and crop was jerky on my PC.
Magix claim that if Vegas can't contact the server it will do nothing but in my experience with Vegas 14 if you don't let it connect around once a month it crashes. By crash I mean when you try to save or render a project it gives an error message and then dies. So yes, if you don't let V14 and V15 contact the server you are unable to use it.

Saying that the program will block every user from working with the software when no contact is made, is simply not true.
You seem to be the only case I know, where this issue is present. Therefore, there seems to be an unsolved issue/troubleshooting (please follow up with the support). Please refrain from spreading rumors / unconfirmed speculations like they are commonly known to be true.
Hm, so if you don't let V14 or V15 cotact the server you are unable to use it?
@VMP No, after the initial activation/registration you should always be able to work with VEGAS Pro 14 or 15.
Edit: Actually this discussion has nothing to do with the initial post anymore. The advice to discuss ACID Pro on magix.info was the right answer. That's why, I will close this thread. Other issues and questions regarding VEGAS Pro can be discussed in new/relevant threads.
