Wish to make my MOV DVD to a MPEG

I bought Vegas Movie Studio 15 Platinum on advice of Best Buy associate. He said this will make my DVD, now a .MOV to MPEG so I can play DVD on my portable DVD player. I have NO IDEA how to use this software to do this job. HELP! I have the Windows 7 on my PC

If you don't want at this stage to learn how to do this with DVD Architect (which comes with your purchase of Vegas Movie Studio 15 Platinum), use Make Movie > Burn it to a DVD or Blu-ray Disc > DVD > Burn DVD (Video format: MPEG-2 16:9 NTSC or PAL, depending on your area). You have to have a DVD burner (with a blank DVD-R or DVD+R disc inserted) connected to your computer. (Read online Help (F1) item "Burning a DVD from the timeline.")

Update to build 116 of your VMS 15 Platinum if you do not already have that (see Help > About).
