XAVC-S video files to HD not working in DVD Architect pro 5

chris-minchin wrote on 12/21/2016, 8:45 AM

Hi everybody, I am recording video on my A77ii camera in the XAVC-S 25p format, then color grading in movie studio platinum 13, but my DVD Architect Pro 5 says it is the wrong file type. What do I need to make this work using the XAVC-S format?

Thank you

DVD Architect Pro 5 only accept MPEG2 DVD format, MPEG2 Blu-Ray format, or AVC Blu-ray standard.

As set says and btw are you sure you have DVD A Pro, not Studio, with MS Platinum.

From online (F1) Help:

Exporting a Movie Studio Platinum project to DVD Architect Studio

You can avoid unnecessary transcoding or recompression by rendering your media files in the appropriate formats prior adding them to your DVD Architect Studio project. Render your audio and video separately using templates that match the required file formats for DVD or Blu-ray Disc. For more information, see "Rendering Projects for Use in DVD Architect Studio" and "Media File Settings for Blu-ray Disc Projects."

Thank you for your reply, which of those would you use for the best quality?

This tutorial/article is worth going through. It refers to MSP 12, but you should be able work it out for v 13.

Note that v 12 "Render As" is not in v 13, it's all under Make Movie there.
