@SandyG: Please take a look at "My products" section in your MAGIX Account (MAGIX Service Center)

vkmast schrieb am 17.11.2016 um 13:50 Uhr

Note though that "All downloads there should be the rebranded builds."

@m2016 It's magix-ly been fixed. I now see all the data in my account.

Thanks for the fix on the account S/N's.

Hello All:

I was able to migrgrate my old SCS account, but I'm not sure where I can see my SNs. Will it be in My Account/My Software?  That area is current not populated.

NickHope schrieb am 30.11.2016 um 05:58 Uhr

I waited over a month but still no programs showed up in my account, so I registered them manually. Everything worked successfully. Every program I ever bought from SCS could be registered. As others have said, only products that have had a MAGIX/VEGAS-branded version built are available to actually download there (in my case, VEGAS Pro 14, VEGAS Pro 13, DVD Architect 6, CD Architect 5.2, and Sound Forge 11.0). Installers for earlier software need to be downloaded from SCS.

. . only products that have had a MAGIX/VEGAS-branded version built .. .

Nick, I don't understand. Please explain. I was under the impression that MAGIX had purchased ALL the SCS lines, does this not apply to the pre-existing branded ties being carried over?

The following are on My Account on the MAGIX.COM site with their S/Ns:

  • Sound Forge 10
  • DVDA4.5/5
  • VP12 and before

But there isn't a provision for neither D/L nor install instructions. And yes, I understand one can D/L from that other link.

Here's my more urgent query, who would then sanction the final install on my PC of the S/W I've listed above? SCS? I wouldn't have thought so. And, if it should be MAGIX, is there a statement from them confirming that they will complete the new install procedure for me/others?

Grazie

Grazie, Nick was just wondering as well.

Note to others: Vegas Pro 12 is not listed in the SCS archive downloads. The D/L link and other valuable advice in the first post of the above thread.

The registration and activation of all software products MAGIX took over will be done via the MAGIX servers. Just try out the "Register from another computer" option.

Well, I have NONE of my Sony serial numbers in my Magix account. So... ALL of my Sony software is now gone(and my Vegas Training videos), save software through Steam. What little was installed on my computer, like Spectralayers now makes a Magix request and does not work. Unless this gets fixed, the likelihood I will ever buy Magix software or update or recommend is now seriously compromised. And for that matter, because of this, my enjoyment of Sony Creative Software is compromised also.

I submitted a ticket, and was referred to this post because it had all the answers. Well, the post mentions October, and now it is December, and years worth of Sony software is gone. I am... annoyed.

vkmast schrieb am 06.12.2016 um 22:43 Uhr

I suppose you did check on your old Sony Creative Software account (My Account > My Software) in case your Serial Numbers just might be there still? If they are not, let's hope this gets the attention of a MAGIX moderator it deserves.

I don't believe any software has yet been intentionally removed from our Sony accounts. I recommend you carefully follow section 4a of this guide. If you find your software there, download all the installers and save your serial numbers (they might disappear at any time) and then follow section 2b of that guide to manually register your software on the MAGIX site.

@southpawami: Just take a look into your MAGIX Account in the MAGIX Service Center.

None of my previous SCS software appear on my Magix account.

When will it be done?

Thanks VK. I didn't expect this to take so long to be fomplete especially when some users got them only few days after Oct 25th...

Wait n See but Magix should give us deadline.

None of my SCS softwares registerable with Magix. . When I tried to register manually. I got this message copy & paste here.

Wrong product registration number

Please check your entries again.
If necessary, use the product registration directly from within your MAGIX product.

Just want to update what is going here. Because of my above post/  I got panic about what if SONY SCS shutdown and unable to register my SCS software.  So,  I take out my SONY Sound Forge Audio Studio 10 DVD Disc and install the software.  The registration show the product is registered with SONY SCS.  DONE.   I log in to Magix web to check out my SCS products.  And guess what my SONY Sound Forge Audio Studio 10 shown up on Magix account.   This what led me to believed you have to re- register all your SCS softwares.  When you register your Sony product, it will bounce the registration process to Magix automatically.

To add one more option to Bruce's one that just worked for me these last minutes, I could go back to the older SCS page and was able to find my account with everything I've owned since the start with all the serial numbers and everything on the page after remembering my former e-mail adress and pw at the time. I was able to re-install everything and register online except for Sound Forge Studio which was an old Sonic Foundry product so the link doesn't work to register anymore. No big deal: the soft' is working ok...

Attaching pics so if somebody else goes throught this, it might help somehow...(the link is on the picture and the way to get back to an old account in the menu...)

vkmast schrieb am 08.02.2017 um 14:26 Uhr

Yes, this method is mentioned in Nick's FAQ, section 4. > 4a. Note Nick's comment on which versions you are able to download from your SCS Account / My Software.

While we're on the subject, can someone tell me why "all my past trials" were registered as well on Jan 19, 2017?
