How to download Vegas Pro 13.0 build 453 (last Sony version, pre-MAGIX) etc.

NickHope wrote on 8/28/2016, 11:45 AM

Go to https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/myaccount/myorders and enter your Sony Creative Software account password. Click on the appropriate "[View Order]" and download from there.

You can also download from https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/myaccount/mysoftware but the links to current versions of software (including Vegas Pro 13.0) will redirect to the MAGIX sales pages where you can only download the current MAGIX version.

Some direct links (you must be logged into your SCS account first):

There is also an old index of Sony Creative Software downloads at http://download.sonycreativesoftware.com . Most installers are in the "current" folder but it only goes as far as the days of Vegas Pro 11 etc..

Here's another way to find many other Sony Creative Software downloads by sidestepping the redirects to MAGIX:

  1. Visit http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download and click the area that interests you
  2. Hover over the blue link for the area that interests you
  3. Right click > Copy link location (or "Copy link address" etc.)
  4. Open Wayback Machine, https://archive.org/web/ , in a new browser tab
  5. Paste URL into the Wayback Machine search field
  6. Click the pale blue circle for the most recent snapshot of the page (but before August 2016)
  7. Hover over the blue rectangular "DOWNLOAD" link > right click > copy link location again
  8. Paste the link into a new browser tab
  9. Delete everything before "http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com..." in the URL then ENTER

The installers and serial numbers for VEGAS software bought from MAGIX is available at https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/

At the moment it seems I could download most, maybe all, of my downloadable software/content there. In addition to VPro 13 b.453 that includes the last builds of VPro 12, 11, MSP 13 b.955, 12, 11, 10, and DVD Architects plus the numerous add-ons. For "Content" I have "download attempts remaining".

You need someone to upload the software somewhere for you to download? I am not aware of other options at the moment. I agree that the installers need to be made available from MAGIX eventually (ASAP).

Btw, "If you bought the download version through SCS online store at the time" is in my post mentioning this download option in the other thread.

Interesting. Are you able to provide a similar link to MSPlatinum 13 build 955 and Vegas Pro 12 last build?

I know MSP 13 b 955 can currently be downloaded from http://download.sonymediasoftware.com/current/

More interestingly, some of the download links on SCS My Account / My Software work today.

Not sure if this is the correct thread, but any help here would be appreciated.I have been having more trouble than I can think of with this change over to Magix, I bought VP13 on 7/27/16 with upgrade to 14 in Sept. I recently uninstalled vegas to do a clean install and now I cannot activate it, says "server error 32". I'm glad Vegas has been given new life, but so far this has been a real disaster for me over past week as I have not been able to use it and support has taken 48 hour or more to respond. So, just be careful if you go to do an uninstall and then clean reinstall as that seems to have created havoc for me. Don't let it happen to you!

dave-wilson, try deleting the "License" folder in your registry as described in this thread and please let us know if it works: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/activation-of-new-purchase--103159/

If that's even possible, I suppose the path might be something like this (a bit of a wild guess as I haven't installed the MAGIX version myself):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Vegas Creative Software > Vegas Pro > 13.0 > License

dave-wilson wrote on 9/2/2016, 11:57 PM

NOPE! I appreciate your trying to help, I did exactly as it said, but it wont allow me to register after I enter the S/N, it says "server was unable to complete the operation" then gives me a redirect to get a an (alternate activation method) activation number by giving a machine ID, which it gives me. When I insert the machine ID and serial number it sends me to the SCS website where I have to click "software registration" hyperlink, this gives me a couple dropdowns, one has vegas pro 13 with its corresponding S/N. I click that then enter the generated machine ID. When I press active it gives me this "The server was unable to complete the registration as requested. [-32]". Thats it! Gotta tell ya, this has got to be the worst software activation problem I have ever had. Hope this isn't happening to anyone else who needs to get some projects finished, like the 5 wedding videos I need to be working on over the past week.

Not sure whether you're trying to install the SCS version (build 453) or the MAGIX version (build 543). I guess it's the MAGIX version if you bought it with the upgrade, so I don't know why it would send you to the SCS website. The only thing I can think of is to try installing the other installer that you haven't tried already, and probably deleting that License folder again if you encounter a problem.

I've done clean installs with the Sony Build 453 several times after i've installed the MAGIX versions.

I was just looking at Magix's Vegas page and since I recently bought Vegas Pro 13, were the Nectar Elements dialog processing plug-in by iZotope and Video Essentials VI plug-in a separate download? If so, where can I get them?

vkmast wrote on 9/19/2016, 12:23 PM

Tewt, see if this works for Vegas downloads

I tried both the Sony Vegas key and the Optional Authentication Code but neither were accepted as vaild. :(

Edit: Nvm, duhh. I never bothered looking far enough down in the email(much longer email than I'm used to seeing). At least coming here prompted me to take a second look at it, lol.

Here are the links if anyone is interested to download again, having bought before the change to Magix.

I'm looking for the sound fordge 11 pro installer Link ID.

Thanks!

Marco. wrote on 10/5/2016, 4:07 PM

If it is a registered version you'll find it in your personal SCS account which Nick linked in his first post.

todd-k wrote on 10/5/2016, 4:11 PM

It's registered. It leads me to a Magix page and does not allow me to DL like when I used Nicks link to DL Vegas Pro suite (it had the Link ID and I was logged in).  The download link from my software page doesn't work anymore, it's straight to buy the magix version.

vkmast wrote on 10/5/2016, 4:16 PM

Log on to your SCS account and then see if this link works for you

SoundForge Pro 11 build 299
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/link?id=9069.1

Marco. wrote on 10/5/2016, 4:18 PM

Ah, sorry, this may be right because SoundForge 11 was the latest version available, right? Then it is the version which went to Magix and I think they are still organizing that stuff.

So did you try getting it from Magix.com when login in into your account there (though I think these versions just migrated from SCS are not yet in there).

Edit:
Thanks, vkmast, you got it.

Thanks, all!! I did look around Magix site, but don't see anywhere they store the old versions.  They should really consider doing this. I also bought 14 and then went to register it, but, it's already registered.  I can't find a place that shows me that in my account.

Versions bought from MAGIX are here: https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/  And I assume that's where the old Sony versions will be available too when they have completed transferring the data over.
