15 Pro will open some MP4's but not others.

So I'm using Vegas Pro 15, build 177 and it will open some of my MP4 files but wont open others, the files are identical in nature. Both H.264 codex.

Have you considered trying with the latest build (downloading advice here, sections 3 and 4)? Read also this FAQ.
