365 subscription to use text to speech.

I own Vegas 19 Suite and it says i need a subscription to use text to speech! What is wrong with you people? You want everything, I paid for Image and Effects and DVD Architect and Sound Forge, and I cannot get text to speech? If this is true? I am very upset I also cannot get any of the free video files in the HUB. Explain this to me please. Do I have 365 or what? you want more money? Unbelievable!!! Ronetta Colbert

Yes, you need 365 to access online storage, content and online features like speech to text and text to speech. Elsewhere on the forum VCS staff explained that they incur fees when these services are used so the model of buying once and using forever doesn't work with this.

Perpetual license advantages, you own the software, don't have to keep paying to use it. Disadvantages, none of the "services" that VEGAS offers that require online server processing or licensing of millions of audio and video clips are available.

VEGAS 365 advantages, you always have the latest version of VEGAS, and you get access to all of the online-enabled services, but you do not own the software, if you stop paying, it stops working.

I've put in suggestions to the team about ways to enable perpetual users to buy annual subscriptions for a reduced price that enable the online features, we'll see how they go about it moving forward. They are definitely considering ideas in that area.
