AB Feature Deactivate?

james-sutton wrote on 5/1/2017, 12:14 PM

Somehow I occasionally activate a capability I don't want, don't know the name of it so I can't look up how to deactivate it.

It seems to have something to do with AB roll, it adds a small track to the timeline.

Anyone recognize what it is and know how to deactivate it?

Vegas 12

Thanks!

Search in Help for "Expanded Edit Mode".

If you are asking is there a way to permanently turn off the "Expand Track Layers" ( most of us call is A&B track editing), I don't think that it can be turned off permanently.

If you turn it on accidentally, then right click on the track -- then "Expand Track Layers" will toggle this feature on and off.

This is also called "expanded edit mode" .. What might be happening is you are accidentally entering this mode. Here's how: " .. You can also double-click an event edge to enter expanded edit mode.. "

Much easier to press 5 on the numerical key pad if this happens.

Grandmaster Nick's FAQ point 28 is pretty clear on deactivating options.
