About pricing... special 'til march 4th ? what ?

fawtz wrote on 3/4/2025, 8:19 PM

Hi, I was just checking (really, randomly) about VPro22 pricing and noticed it's on special until... now. Is it pure coincidence or an incentive, something that's usually programmed this way ? (like for some ticket planes resellers... for example) . On Best Buy, they offer it until march 31st and on Magix official website it's march 4th... 😳 Still with a very old version of VP and would be interested to upgrade the whole shebang, like some say (the bundle with Acid, SF, etc). Hopefully, I'll get an answer before midnight lol.

It's the afternoon of March 5 here so I would have missed out. As I use the US page I assume it's US time, but hang on the US has several time zones? Perhaps it's German time? Magix need to be more specific when giving dates.

Seriously though this is a user forum and we don't know. Only Magix can answer your query. Try infoservice@magix.net

@fawtz

P.S. I have mostly seen the offer changes at the website about UTC -8. Today it was a bit earlier.

Great thanks ! I ordered yesterday in the end. (NYC time here so if memory's good UTC-5).

Now, there is SO MUCH included with my order lol

Trying to figure out some things, maybe you could help ?

The 500 downloads included from Audio Hero; I guess it's 500 free files from their catalog I have to download within the next year from date of purchase ?

The gap is so huge between VPro7 and now VPro22 I feel I'm going back to school 😂

Can't figure out why my color wheels don't work, for one... guess I'll be back on this version of the forum from now on.

VPro22 really looks neat from my fist quick peek, wow ! that workspace is great.

I'll have to re-figure out Acid too (from Acid Pro 5). Good lord... hahaha

@fawtz I suggest you start a new post for each of your issues. Include your hardware specs along with what assets you are using.

To answer I think about the Color Wheels not working, you first obviously, have to highlight the timeline clip you want to adjust. Open the CGP, and there is a drop down menu on the upper right of it. See image below.

Thanks a lot, will do. Damn, I think you're right; being on Resolve for a month made me lose my previous reflexes with Vegas. It's been a while since I edited. I think when I tried I took for granted that if I had something in the preview window, modifying the wheels without having anything on the actual timeline would work... I'll check again with your image above as a guide, thanks again.

No problem! The difference is, with Resolve, you are on the Color Page, so it will work without anything further to do. With Vegas, as you know, there are no different "pages". Everything can be there right in front of you without clicking on another tab.

Just checked, it was exactly that : I didn't have any clip on the TL and noticed even adding a clip there, you have to click it to ''assign'' it, not just place the cursor on the clip. Slowly coming back to the whole thing hahaha even tried to ''ram render'' using ctrl+B from memory and I wasn't too far : it's shift+B 😄 With the older computers, I would probably do that 50 times a day while editing a videoclip. Thanks again !

Glad I could help! It's just a couple of clicks and I am off to grading. Second nature for me.
