Adjust Length of Slow Motion Plugin?

StardustCreations wrote on 6/23/2022, 1:02 AM

I just got Vegas Pro 17, and I'm experimenting with the Slow Motion effect. I'm watching some tutorials which show that if you select the video you've applied the effect to, go to Tools, and click Extensions, that an option called 'Adjust Length of Slow Motion Plugin' will be there which will automatically lengthen the clip you've slowed down so it shows the full thing. But when I try to find it, it doesn't show up for me? Does anyone have any info that could help me out? I'd really appreciate it!!

In V17 452 is it there. Maybe you could do a Reset of V17 to see if that works

Or update to the latest build of VEGAS 17 if that doesn't work.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Radeon VII + Radeon Pro VII

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

As suggested, you most likely need to try and update your VP 17 to the latest build.

From VP 17 build 321 Release notes, New features: "An extension has been added to automatically adjust the length of an event after applying a playback rate change with the Slow Motion OFX plug-in".

That's what it is! Thank you to everyone for clearing that up. My build is 284, so yeah. I'll try and see about updating it!

EDIT: Updated the software, and now I have the option!
