available free on our sony site?

seems pretty frickin sweet to me. a bunch of nice looking presets you can use full on or blended with original. add a ton of creative visuals without jumping though a ton of hoops.

downsides to this at all?

anyone mess with this? It is pretty cool for a freebie.
it's a hog, just watch it in draft mode, then shut it off while editing

MB Quick Looks is an add-on in the Movie Studio Platinum 12 Suite.
Maybe SCS has a 'leak' somewhere? They are having some problems with the site according to some of JohnnyRoy's recent posts on the forums.

They have updates for all the programs they've shipped it looks like. MB Quick Looks there makes sense then.

Odds are it needs a SN to operate. I know you could download the extra software from previous Vegas versions (graffiti, for example) but you still need a SN for them to work.

Movie Looks shipped with Vegas 7. No serial required, if I remember correctly.

Quite limited though.

After you register this software, you can upgrade to Magic Bullet Looks 2.0 for only $99.00 if you want to.

Right some old version was free.
I own both Movie Platinum and Pro and the QUICK LOOKS works in Pro just fine. I don't recall any serial number for it or MOVIE LOOKS HD - the older one.
I believe the full LOOKS has adjustments, but for quick basic presets, Quick Looks seems real fun.
