Since I started using Vegas Pro 18 it crashes during editing video almost once per each hour. Could you provide a solution for video editing which can run more than one hour without crash and restart my work?
Hi, Handras, I have 64gb of RAM on my PC so i set the Dynamic RAM Preview max up high thinking my machine should have no prob with that but it crashed all the time, i set it to 0 and the crashing has pretty much gone completely, I'm sure there are others on here that know a lot more than i do tho,
Dynamic ram is essentially used to store info needed to store data required for preview window. ie not very much. Hence the default 200. Decreasing can help, increasing hinders.
Increasing the dynamic ram size merely takes away ram that may be required in rendering the time line and possibly cause a crash.
Crash during render. Maybe corrupt clip/file, machine overheating. Same point in time(thereabouts) each time? Systematic/patient approach needed. Good luck.
@handras ... For goodness sake, how about responding with relevant information as per the link provided by @walter-i. And as for your response to @Grazie, all you can do is copy back to the forum his comment without any apparent reason. If you want help, how about co-operating and giving the forum something in the way of info to go on. If you are not willing to do that, then don't expect help.

Hello Dexcon, sorry for my poor English, I can answer only to simple question, like to Grazie and to Gid. But the really help was advice from Gid what i needed. Since I set Dynamic RAM Preview to advised I did not face with crash of VP18. Thanks him and for you also for help!
Sorry for writing again, but today VP18 crashed again. I know, it would find root cause easier with write all enviroment details and datas about my devices, but for me would be very-very easier to work with stable application. In many cases the software creates a crash report itself which is including all data for developers to analyze.
Get the content translated with Google, I do that too - I also know very little English.
And if you want to do video editing, you should be prepared to take a learning curve. It doesn't happen all by itself.
Sorry for my thinking, but I purchased two video editing software: first time Videopad for ~$30 and it has limited features, second time bought Vegas Pro 18 for ~$600. For this amount I could want to get stable appllication and professional support. Unfortunately it was an unfulfilled dream. My nervous system is more valuable than this application, I turn back to Videopad. Thank you for your attention!

- So did your systeem meets the specs for this software
- did you installed it at it was or did you change options? - If yess, do a total reset of the program following this: Resetting - at least follow the install instructions at Help/Check for Driver Updates
For this amount I could want to get stable appllication and professional support.
@handras ... You seem to misunderstand the purpose of this forum. It is not an avenue to technical support, it is a user-to-user forum where you can seek assistance from other usually more experienced Vegas Pro users.
There is a world of difference between an entry level NLE like Videopad and a prosumer/pro NLE such as Vegas Pro (and many others).
The problem that you are experiencing may well be related to your computer rather than Vegas Pro 18. But as you are reluctant to help yourself by providing any information that would give anybody on the forum any realistic idea about how to assist you, there's little chance that you will be able to resolve the problem via this forum. Therefore, Videopad is probably your best option at this time.

As I wrote already to Grazie:
Windows 10 Pro Build: 19041.870 Intel(R) Xeon(R) W-1250 CPU @ 3.30 GHz 64 GB Ram
My video card is NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000
I set VP18 Dynamic RAM Preview to 0 GB as Gid advised - see above - but did not help.
No any other change I made.
I would edit 4K mp4 video files was created Canon EOS M6 MkII
For this amount I could want to get stable appllication and professional support.

I most hate software developers who are not available for complains, they are waiting for solutions from forum members...
I hope some of them will read my case...
I'm also a software developer and I know what amount of informations are needed for a software error analyzing. But also know, that these informations can collect application itself before it crashed.
If you wish to contact Support, please go to https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/support/interview/ and follow the convoluted Q & As until the lodge a ticket page is reached. Please note that Support will likely require the same sort of information about your circumstances as has already been requested twice here on the forum.
I'm just a user, not a computer expert.
... and then
I'm also a software developer
Doesn't being a software developer make you are very familiar with computers? - i.e. not a novice as you previously said that you were.
I want to use an application not develop it. What should I share?
I'm also a software developer and I know what amount of informations are needed for a software error analyzing.
Isn't that a contradiction? You claim ignorance about computers in one comment but then a bit later you claim to be computer literate.

I'm a software developer regarding databases, not hardware expert. Why waiting somebody informations from me if he can collect himself?
