Application doesn't launch

Hi,

I have been trying to use my recently downloaded Movie Studio 17.0 Platinum. When I double click the app, it starts to launch but then it stops. I just get a message saying it just stopped. So I'm not sure how to get it working. I tried that resetting shift + control but that didn't work. I'm not even sure if I'm in the right forum.

I have an HP, Intel (R) core (TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.70 GHz, Installed RAM 8.00 GB, 64-bit OS, x64-based processor, Windows 10 Home, Version 1909.

Your amount of RAM is a little low. specifications says 16 GB is needed for the program.
Where did you install it?

ah. ok. I installed it on my laptop. I guess I can only use it on my desktop computer. Thank you.

The current SysReqs for VMS 17 P do list 16 GB, but the current Readme file still says 8 GB (16 GB recommended). I have VMS 17 P b 204 on my laptop (i5 7th Gen, 8 GB) working satisfactorily.

See if you find something from here.

That I saw earlier, but where on your laptop, the sugested C:/ with also Windows that was adviced?

Hi,

Yes, It is on the C drive. That's the hard drive? I just download and install. I don't really change anything. I just let it install itself.

I will try to uninstall and reinstall. see if that would work for me.

No idea what the reason could be. Only suggestions I have is after uninstall see if you are able to renew your Intel drivers because your laptop is maybe 4 years old and then after a reset install Vegas Movie Studio as adminestrator.
