Are my computer specs good enough!

Sorry, me again. Got VMSP 16 the other day and it's unusable for me. Every time I do any work in the program I get the 'not responding' message and all is lost. No particular thing, just using the program. I know my computer isn't exactly the fastest horse in the race, but it's always managed to get the job done before. I looked up the required specs necessary, but I don't fully understand. Anyone that could help translate into English would be greatly appreciated.

My computer is 5 years old, it's a Toshiba Qosmio X70-A laptop.

Processor: Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40GHz

Installed memory (RAM): 16.0 GB

System type: 64-bit

Operating System: Windows 8.1

Thanks in advance. Cin

Full system requirements including "supported GPU" here.

OMG might try VMS 15 Platinum (downloadable here) which has the system reqs. listed below. It's likely to be available to purchase at least from (reliable) online sellers.

Looking at the processor spec all looks good. It seems to me that your laptop should work fine. 'Not responding' message does not mean a crash. Do you wait for the message to disappear?

Thank you for responding, and no I don't recall waiting particularly long. I tend to be a little impatient, so maybe I'll try it again and wait and see. I've always associated 'program not responding' to a crash. It's been very frustrating and disappointing as I was really looking forward to the update. Thank you again. Cin
