Sorry, thought it was clear.  Have tried several configurations for creating a DVD.  Use the templates included.  Also thought it was obvious that I want this damn thing to work.  As for maybe a specific question.  Since the default settings do not seem to allow audio to work what settings should I use?

Movie Studio 13.0 Build 208.   Project is what opens when you load program.  Pic is what options I have when rendering.  Do not seem to have any audio options unless I pick just an audio disc.

You are rendering with a video only template.
That one has only video and no audio.
You have two options:

1. Render to a "Program Stream NTSC Widescreen" template where you have video and audio.
2. Render to two separate streams for import in DVDA, the stream you rendered as video plus an audio stream with this template

That appeared to be it.  Not sure why you would render a dvd with no sound but got sound now thank you

The first post here may help to understand Cornico's (and most others') suggestion / option 2.

Another quote from an old SCS KB article: The recommended settings for a DVD are rendered in two parts, the video stream and the audio stream. Make sure to render both files to the same folder with the same name. When importing the video stream into DVD Architect, the audio stream will import automatically.

(For the legacy SCS KB read Point 6. here.)

I resolved my same (no) audio issue using the steps above.  Love the community Forum, thanks.
