Auto contrast a video? Normalise sound levels?

Hi,
I generally find Movie Studio 11 nice and easy to use.

But I do struggle a bit with the effects.

Is there a quick way to normalise audio levels on a clip, so it reaches (say) 90% at peak?

And similarly for the viduals, if I have a clipo which could use a contrast boost is there a quick way to optimise it?

Thanks,
Nick

1. Right click on the audio track and Normalize.
2. No.

That was quick!

Thank you!

For auto-adjusting video contrast you could try using Auto Levels plug-in from SEMW-Software.

Marco.,
I understand the SEMW Auto Levels plug-in requires Movie Studio Platinum 12 or 13, where they do show up for me, but not in VMSP 11.
The OP said he has Movie Studio 11.

1. Right click on the audio track and Normalize.

Understand that this is based on the loudest point. If you have a very loud point in an otherwise low level audio track it will raise the entire track up so that the loud point is at the set point, but the rest may not be as loud as you wish.

You may need to find those "loud points" and manually reduce them so that the normalize function brings up the rest to your liking.
