Batch processing

I know there is some additional software from Sony that claims Batch-processing powers, but I don't think it does what I really want.

As I use more features in Movie Studio, the render-times is getting rather long. To the extent I am leaving the computer to run overnight.

Now to me the ability to Batch Process would allow me to set-up Movie Studio
with
Make Movie ( ,,,,,vf file . . . loop/non-loop . . . destination folder.)
Make Movie (......vf file. . . . loop/non-loop . . . destination folder )

You can see I'm suggesting a Batch Processing of just Two movies . . . . but I would expect ( Sony, may I?),
the Studio-version is limited to Two Batch Processes....whereas Pro-version should be five, for example...
((Although one might believe that processor-intensive Rendering is likely to be slower in the Pro-version, simply because folks are likely to use more "effects" and the Movies are longer..... but that's the difference in Sale-price...))

The same "Batch working" could be applied to DVDA (and ----Studio ).
However, may I ask that any software like this allows the computer to be set to work at some convenient time later ( giving the Operator a 5-minute warning and count-down, so it may be delayed in 5-min steps ).....
and
Batch processing allows the PC to be used with each batch set at Minimised.
Batch processing can be directed to turn-off the PC after satisfactory completion.
Batch processing should retain any error messages in a file with the same name as the (dot) vf file. If possible, then the PC can be turned off if no other Batch Processing has been Queued.
Er, I think.

Hope that helps....I understand the Adobe video-software has this feature, - you can leave the PC to work when you are absent/asleep and then the job is done on switching the PC back On.

Any other suggestions . . . ?

You can open multiple instances of Movie Studio and set each to render a different project. I guess that the number that can run in parallel would depend on the version of MS and you computer's configuration.

"Unfortunately scripts are not available with the Studio version. I suppose you could always submit a feature request to the development team." (Chienworks 5/3/2014)
Feature request

The OP's right in that "some additional software" like the VASST Fasst Apps RenderAssistant extension does not do what he really wants.
