Behaviour of Timeline Cursor

Please make the timeline cursor stop at the end of the last clip on the timeline. At present it goes past the last clip, then jumps back to where you started it.

Or perhaps it should stop at the end of the last clip of the active track on the timeline?

In the Internal Preferences, there's the Field Name " Play past end of project" Value 20 000 000. For me it plays 2 seconds past the last event and then jumps back. See if Value can be changed, at your own risk as they always say. Probably jumps back anyway?

You can set this value to zero, then playback will actually stop at the last frame of the last clip, but it will jump back to the playhead then.

What is the reasoning behind this strange behaviour?

Intel Core i5 13400F, 10 cores/16 threads

No idea. I don't like it either.

Is there a features 'wish list' somewhere on this forum? If so, I will add this request to it.

Working with Sound Forge before Vegas existed, I sort of liked that the cursor returned to the starting location. That way I didn't have to find it again.

Thanks vkmast. Altering the setting in internal preferences works and it's a great improvement. Having stopped at the end it then jumps back to your start point. If you want to go back to the end well that's no problem with Ctrl+End or click a button. So to me it's the ideal answer.
