Do you plan to use DVD Architect Studio to create your BluRay disc and menus? Vegas Movie Studio 10, on its own, doesn't really have the ability to author a BluRay disc.

And is your original source video hi-def? What kind of camcorder is it from?

????? I'm not sure what you mean. It sounds like you got exactly what you need to do what you want to do.

If you've got DVD Architect Studio with your Vegas Movie Studio, outputting a BluRay disc is a snap.

Just click on Make Movie in Vegas, select Burn BluRay disc, follow the prompts and then click Send to DVD Architect Studio 5!

In DVD Architect Studio, you have the option of making the disc with menus or just ouputting an auto-play disc.

Vegas is used to edit your video and create the final version in an output file.

DVD Architect is used to take that final output file and lay it out in DVD format and burn the disc.

If you made a standard DVD from photos then they are all resampled to 720x480 resolution. That's the DVD standard.

Cheers but the best settings to edit and render the video are?

Search "render settings" in Sony Creative Software Support Knowledgebase?

If your original project file was set up as a hi-def video project and you want to output a BluRay disc, just follow the instructions in my second post and the program will automatically create the best transfer settings for you.

If you are working in standard def video, just do the same thing except select DVD as your output.

Hi-def and BluRay video is 1920x1080 pixels. Standard def and DVD video is 720x480. You can't force them to have higher resolution than that. That's the nature of video.
