Blu-ray writer not recognised

Hi I'm hoping for some help here. I've just bought theVegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 production suite. and have done some editing of my 3d camcorder (Sony HDR-TD10E) clips and tried to burn them to a blu-ray disc. Trouble is that the suite doesn't recognise my blu-ray burner (LG BH10LS30) all my other editing applications (nero 10 & roxio creator, Pinnacle studio 12 to name a few) have no trouble with it.... any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated as i really like this app. I've updated the burner to the latest firmware version and still no success :-(

Do you have "Skip drive database checked/unchecked" in DVDA Studio Options / Preferences?
You also might try checking/unchecking "Use legacy disc drivers" in Options / Preferences / CD settings (if you have VMS 11 Plat). Seems to help in some cases.
