BORIS Sapphire not detected in Vegas 20

Zaither-P wrote on 4/25/2023, 6:43 PM

Hi guys it's been a while since I posted on here, but i recently upgraded to Vegas 20 and upon doing so, i found that my Sapphire plugins do not get detected. I also have Continuum and haven't had any issue with those plugins. I have already tried clearing cache, and reinstalling everything- Vegas, sapphire, and even continuum. No progress... Sapphire was working fine in Vegas 19. Anyone got an idea of what's going on?

I believe that I'm using the latest version of sapphire, so it shouldn't be an issue with that being too old

@Zaither-P Hi, goto ask, did you delete these two files from 20 C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\20.0

& if you search that folder for Sapphire what does it show?

& have you other software that shows the Sapphire plugins, like Resolve for instance?

I tried deleting those two files and reinstalling sapphire, nothing. I searched in that folder after i had installed sapphire and none of those files are there... I'll see if any other video editor detects it when I get home

how did you do that? i uninstalled with revo both things and they still don't appear :c

@Zaither-P @EruDebu According to Vegas pirated users, only pirated copies have this bug.

You can test my words by uninstalling the pirated Vegas 20 and installing the trial Vegas 20 version.

for the files, i used a program called "everything" to search for any vegas/sapphire related files
for registry keys, i manually searched for "vegas" and "sapphire" through the entire windows registry editor list, deleting each key

reinstalling vegas in trial mode did not help either. Also, I own a license for v20

If you deleted each key, then how does Sapphire work after that?

1. Uninstall sapphire

2. Delete remaining keys and files

3. Install sapphire

Hello, I have tried uninstalling and deleting everything, even with REVO unistaller and then reinstalling the latest version but sapphire still does not appear.

@LOLOGP time to contact Boris support... I've found them quick to reply.

According to Vegas pirated users, only pirated copies have this bug (Use a pirated patch of the infamous Team V.R).

I did nothing special when installing the patch 403, and all my plugins, including Sapphire units showed up without any issues.

I'm having the same problem and this is slowing me down a lot... could you explain to me how you did to clean all Sapphire/Vegas files?

Former user wrote on 5/10/2023, 7:36 PM

@anaelisoldi First , are you using a pirate version, probably best you don't Yes, but if you are, research by user GId on the Boris forums, and information discovered here points to pirate versions not being compatible.

If you using legit software then that's something you can fix by clearing caches etc.
