Broken Preset Menus

StealthStarSwag wrote on 4/4/2021, 3:01 PM

I just downloaded the trial version of Vegas Movie Studio 17 Suite to my new gaming laptop yesterday as I have had excellent experiences with Vegas with the past and love its functionality. Unfortunately, I am experiencing a major problem with the preset menus in Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum. The video effects, transitions, and text preset menus are showing up as blocky, as if there is something wrong with the display. The video and the tracks appear to be working fine, but the minute I hover over any of the transitions, text, or effects, the menus "break." (I attached a photo below.)

The computer I am using is the MSI GE75 Raider gaming laptop. It has 16 GB of RAM, a 10th generation Intel Core i7-10750H processor, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card. The version of Windows 10 installed is 10.0.18363 Build 18363. The version of Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum installed is 17.0 (Build 204).

I tried a number of potential fixes such as downloading and switching to the NVIDIA Studio Driver, shutting off "Game Mode" in both the MSI Dragon Center and in Windows settings, and doing an additional Windows update today, to no avail.

I would love to purchase the Vegas Movie Studio 17 Suite, but only if I can confirm that it will work properly on my computer. I am an existing customer of Vegas Movie Studio, since 2010. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Nahimic driver issue.

For Movie Studio, the easiest way will be disable Nahimic:

@set only because you were busy here ;)

@vkmast @set Oh my goodness, it worked! 😃 The changes did not go into effect immediately, so I decided to do a restart first before assuming that there was still an issue. I'm glad I did! Thank you both SOOOOO much! By the way, would you be okay if I shared what you two shared with me in a video sometime? (I might not be able to do this for a few weeks when the semester ends, college life keeps me very busy!) If so, I'll be sure to give you credit. Again, thanks a bunch and Happy Easter if you celebrate!

@StealthStarSwag thanks but please note that one of the first alerts here of this was this comment. User/mod @set was onto this early, but I'm just a humble messenger :).
