bug of VEGAS Pro 17: Event button can't show up.

lan-mLMC wrote on 11/3/2019, 1:23 AM

Bug: When event's buttons are in the bottom of event, they can't show completely when magnifying timeline. Both video and audio.

Link.

Comparison: When event's button's are in the top, it is normal. We can see all the buttons although how the event (timeline) are zoomed in.

When event's button's are in the bottom of event, . .

@lan-mLMC - Errrmmm.. How do you do that anyway? 😕

@lan-mLMC - Well, this then?

A localized version issue? Is the Hamburger button available to edit Visible Button Set then?

I can replicate if I zoom in more than the length of the project (or event).

@lan-mLMC - So, you wish to have all these Controls visible on every frame? Regardless of Zooming - yes?

I can confirm it.
Not all icons are shown by the last event when the end of the event is beyond the right edge. The field for the event length is always displayed. In the view with event headers, all icons are displayed, as far as possible.

Interesting find...when we decided to give the users the option to hide the event header, we placed the original code for the event drawing back into place. The code did not have an "always show" path for the buttons in the old event layout like we eventually put in for the code with the header. (Look at the behavior in VP 14 to demonstrate). Right now it seems like it is in a weird, confused state with the event headers off. I will put a bug report in our database regarding this. Not sure how quickly we will be able to get to fixing this, though, with the other high priority items on our plate.

Thanks a lot. Always-show buttons are very convenient which save much time to zoom out the timeline to access these buttons.

In addition, We often use min-height track mode if tracks are too many.

In this mode, event-header-on can't support fade-in/fade-out by draging the start/end of event. But event-header-on can show event buttons; Link.

As a contrast , event-header-off can support fade-in/fade-out by draging. But event-header-off can't show event buttons. Link.

Can you make both the twos (event-header-on and event-header-off) not only support fade-in/fade-out by draging but also can show event buttons (In min-height track mode). The twos are not perfect and need to improve.

I am not sure if you can comprehend my meanings. I hope you can.

@VEGASDerek When someone tackles this issue, please also consider this one:

The audio time-stretch percentage (shown if Active Take Information is on) is obscured by the "hamburger" and Event FX button when Event Headers are off.
