Can no longer use Trim Event Start to expand a clip - Help!

*I'm using VEGAS Pro 14 Edit Steam Edition*

I'm not sure what happened, but I can no longer use Trim Event Start to expand a clip outwards - I can now only use it to shrink a clip. This just started happening.

In other words, if I click and hold the left edge of a clip and then drag to the right, I can bring it inwards to reduce its length. However if I click and hold the left edge of a clip and then drag it to the left, I can no longer expand it.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or a setting I activated, but it's really making this project difficult. Would really appreciate any help here.

Happy to give you more information on my situation as well. Thanks again!

*I should also mention that I've tried restarting the program and resetting the layout - neither approach worked.

Maybe the clip is on its first frame so there is nothing to extend?

Are you trying this with the first event on the timeline and the Auto Ripple button is on?

Maybe you have another clip "under" clip you want to extend. In one track.

Hi all, some answers:

- EricLNZ: It's happening with almost all of my clips. And most of these clips aren't on the first frame.

- vkmast: Afraid it's happening with all events. I've tried it with the Auto Ripple button on and off.

- Radomir: Doesn't seem to be the case. Only one clip seems to be present.

An interesting thing to note: I just tried bringing in one of my clips into my timeline again, and that clip is working fine. It looks like just all the previous clips are not working anymore. Could all of the previous events on my timeline have gotten corrupted somehow? And if so, is there anyway to fix these/re-import the clips to fix these maybe? I really don't want to have to redo these edits I made.
