Can old version and new version livehappily together (for awhile)?

Len Kaufman wrote on 9/19/2016, 1:22 PM

What I'm wondering is, if we receive MVP Version 14 as an upgrade, will it load as a totally new program, or will it update the old SVP 13? I would hope it will allow keeping the old version on my machines, until we decide that the new version is to our liking. Any thoughts?

SCS versions were separate installations. I don't expect this to change.

I think it was earlier than 12/13. Perhaps 10/11....after which projects done in previous version were no longer compatible with a conversion, and then you could go back to the earlier version, if memory serves.

So, is this being released at Photokina or just online?

that is a great question, I would expect other versions to live seperate than the Majix version 14, but ...who knows, look what happened if someone updated 13 to the Majix 13...no joy there..

Since past experience, you can have multiple versions, so I believe you will also find similar for the upcoming VP14. But for safe, it is good to have current system backup. In case something worst happened, you can restore to previous windows state.
