Because your event is locked. Select event and uncheck the lock icon from bottom toolbar.

f you are sure it is not hidden behind the taskbar you have to follow the advice to reset of @vkmast.
A new install is not needed.

@Sylk - Yup, that’s why I suggested it. Nice demonstration of the possibility. Even though it’s light grey I can clearly see the Vertical Bars too.
