Can't play saved Architect files

Bambino wrote on 10/29/2014, 5:08 PM
Please forgive me for being so witless. Some time ago I made a series of videos in Vegas and finished the movies in Architect. I successfully saved them to some DVDs and also saved them on my hard disc.

Now, after some considerable time, I find I am unable to play the videos saved on the hard disc. The movies appear in named folders. When I open a folder I find two folders labelled Audio_TS and Video_TS. Inside the Video_TS folder are various items (eg two icons labelled Video_TS and then two labelled VTS_01_0 and one labelled VTS_01_1). They have icons against them showing that they should be played with VLC media player. But no matter how I try I cannot persuade them to play.

I should be really grateful if anyone could tell me what I can do to retrieve tham.

You should be able to play a DVD with VLC media player by opening the VIDEO_TS.IFO file. If it doesn't play then you have something wrong.

Just play the folder in VLC, and most other players.

Thanks for the information, Peter and Musicvid. I can now play the videos. I DID warn you that I was witless!

Can you now suggest any way to burn the movies from these folders on my hard disc to make new DVD copies?

Bambino,
open your DVD Architect Studio 5, click "Make DVD" and see what it says about burning a previously prepared project folder.
