Bought a 7th gen Dell laptop with similar specs to last laptop (6th gen)
This one has a GTX 1060 with 6 Gig of ram -- the old one had GTX 960 w 4 gigs ram.
When I change options / preferences / video to the GTX 1060 in the new laptop I can no longer preview effects or any adjustments I make in real time. In order to do that I have to go back to the intel graphics card.
On the old laptop (GTX 960) I had no problem seeing my changes to various sliders in real time.
Now with the new laptop it's impossible to do. Makes it kind of hard to use things like levels and curves on video when you can't see what you've done with the sliders until you close the FX box.
(so, of course, temporarily my solution is to use the slower (much slower) built in intel graphics card.)
When I render I switch back to the NVidia because it renders at least twice (maybe 4 times) as fast as the intel.
Anyone else seeing a problem like this
Or any suggestions as to why this may be happening?
Thanks,
Paul
