Can't see audio wave form due to trim handle

I'm editing audio clips on the timeline but find when the event is selected, the blue "trim handle" covers up the wave form. This is extremely irritating as I often have to remove a bit of the audio at the end of the clip. This really seems like a usability oversight.

Is there a simple workaround? If I have other tracks in the project, I can move focus to them and at least see the wave for and try to estimate where I'd like to put the tracking head to split the audio. Can I move the trim handle (blue thing) higher or lower on the track SO THAT IT DOESN'T COVER UP THE WAVE FORM?

Yes, that is kind of the nature of the larger interface created for Movie Studio 13.

Have you tried zooming in on the timeline or the event?

I tried. No dice. Really painful. Hope it gets fixed.

Change the Editing Tool to "Fade".
You can also adjust track heights.
