Can't Use Offline

I want to use the software offline. When I try to open a file offline it says, "An online connection could not be established. Please make sure your computer is connected to the internet." I registered it online, but now I want to use it offline.

Did you practise that you could not use it offline?
For me it is no problem if I don't use codecs and other things that are not already registered earlier. When I'm on vacation without an internetconnection I have not seen a problem to use the program on my laptop.

Thank you for the post, but I do not know why I am having this problem. It is my first time using the program and it will not let me import any files without an internet connection.

Possibly it needs to unlock a codec in order to handle your files. It's a once only operation and once done you should be okay offline.

Great. Please read also this FAQ, section 11 and the full explanation link included in it. Sections 9 and 10 are essential reading as well and all apply to Movie Studio versions.
