Please note that in VEGAS speak/nomenclature "An event is an occurrence of a media file (clip) on the timeline". (Re "levels" see e.g. here.)

Can you please explain how to do that?

Novice here.

Select a clip (event) on your timeline. Then hit Fx and choose whatever Fx you want. In VP 17+ you can also select a clip and open the color grading panel (alt + g). If you want to transfer Fx from one event to another select an event, copy it and then right click on other event(s) and select "selectively paste attributes" and choose Fx.

@RogerS - Yes. No such thing as a “Clip” in VegSpeak, well I haven’t heard that officially, only by its omission. So, a single occurrence of Media on the Timeline is an EVENT.

Thank you for this clarification.

Thank you for this invaluable information, sir. I am using Vegas 14. Sorry for not mentioning it clearly. I will try this solution and report back.

I tried it and it works like a charm! Thank you for your help. You are very kind indeed.

Is it possible to select many events / clips by pressing SHIFT and dragging the mouse over them and then Right Click> Paste event Attributes?

Yes, you can highlight and copy attributes (like Fx) from a single event and then paste to many by selecting them and right click to paste event attributes.
